Ella began to feel ill and lost weight in 2013. She thought it was an ulcer due to huge amounts of stress. She went for an ultrasound and found a lump the size of a tennis ball on her colon. It was cut out and tested positive for colon cancer stage 1. She refused chemo and made changes to her diet and lifestyle. This is her story in her own words:
“I lost weight and felt ill in 2013. I thought it was an ulcer due to the huge amount of stress I was under. I went for a ultrasound and found a lump the size of a tennis ball on my colon. Had it cut out and it tested positive for colon cancer stage 1. I was clear and did not do chemo or any treatment other than a slight change to lifestyle and diet. My follow up scan in September 2016 found a 5 cm lesion on the liver. I had that surgically removed plus two more growths on the colon. PET scan all clear after surgery – refused chemo again. I made radical changes to my lifestyle and diet, plus I added a whole lot of natural therapies. I’ve had two scans so far and am all clear.
Both times I lost weight and had problems with my stomach (pain, foul smelling stools, feeling of fullness after a little bit of food). Blood tests did not show cancer – only diagnosed by labs after surgery. I did not try conventional treatment (chemo) because it only gave me a success rate of 5% the first time around and 15-30% the second time round. Those were not good enough odds for me when I weighed them against the side effects of the chemo.
I mistakenly believed the doctors in 2013 when they told me “it’s cut out, so there’s no need to worry.” No one mentioned circulating stem cells. After the first diagnosis, I decided to make some changes to my diet and lifestyle. Getting divorced was one of the changes I made – an extremely abusive marriage was not helping my healing, so I opted out. I realize now that the changes I made were not radical enough to support continued healing. My stress levels never really went down much and the second tumor was discovered in September 2016 a few months after a particularly stressful event related to the father of my children. I also had genetic testing done which showed that my body does not have the ability to produce glutathione, which is a main enzyme used for Phase I liver detoxification. To compensate for that, I take IV glutathione weekly and juice kale and other greens daily. I have done a whole lot more work on the spiritual side as well. I currently feeling healthier and happier than I have ever felt.”
