As a human resources professional, I spent the bulk of my career coaching and mentoring colleagues to help them achieve their goals. About eight years ago I dug deeper into the coaching field, taking the one year certification course in Organizational and Executive Coaching at Columbia University. I love the opportunity to spend time with others to co-create goals and help them find purpose and meaning. In 2017 I received upsetting personal news when a tumor was found in my liver by accident (as the result of an unrelated test). I soon found myself with a cancer diagnosis looking at surgery and chemotherapy. This was a wake-up call for me and I began making healthy changes in all aspects of my life. During this time I came upon a Radical Remission workshop and then Dr. Kelly's book, Radical Remission which really opened my eyes to the hope and possibilities. Several years later when I had a recurrence, I had already decided to sign up for Radical Remission Coach/Workshop Teacher training. Although I was undergoing chemotherapy at the time, I decided to go ahead and complete the training. I knew that using my coaching skills to help others who are experiencing cancer was the new purpose I had been searching for in my own life. The 10 Healing Factors described in Dr. Kelly's books and studied in her Teacher Training program are inspirational. I am so excited to meet others -wherever they are in their healing journey - to incorporate this beautiful way of living into their own lives.
