Kiacono was on an anti-inflammatory diet, exercised regularly, and used naturopathic modalities when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Kiacono knew the power of natural medicine and sought out a naturopathic doctor to support her journey alongside a conventional oncologist. Through energy healing, exercise, massage, psychotherapy, and more sleep she’s now cancer free.
Here’s her story in her own words:
I was/am an active mother of three kids and eating an anti-inflammatory diet when I was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma stage 3 in 2019. This was a shock because I already exercised, ate organic nutrient-rich food, and was accustomed to using naturopathic modalities for physical complaints.
I was put on watch and wait by my conventional oncologist who I still check in with, and I immediately sought a naturopathic doctor to help me on this journey.
I used the Metabolic Approach to Cancer (MATC) by Nasha Winters, which is the methodology of my naturopathic doctor. There is a section in it called the Terrain Ten which helps to identify where the cancer likely came from with a questionnaire. The areas that came to the top for me were genetics (lack of methylation), toxicities, sleep issues, and stress. I also had re-activated Epstein Barr Virus likely due to stress (and is linked to all types of non-hodgkins lymphomas).
I was working as a business analyst at the time while juggling everything and ignoring my own self-care. I changed all of this self-neglect, worked on past traumas, supplemented severe nutrient deficiencies, and focused on getting plenty of sleep and much lower stress.
I meditate, practice breathing exercises, sauna for toxicities, and generally have a happy and grateful outlook on life. I rush much less these days and enjoy time with loved ones instead. I am also finishing up becoming a trained patient advocate in the MATC methodology (understanding what is going on in your terrain so you can heal.)
I have had a recent scan that shows no progression in my lymph nodes and I feel better than ever. My blood numbers are stable at the surprise of my conventional oncologist who was expecting a bone marrow transplant by now!
EDITOR’S NOTE: As of August 2023, Kiacono is still cancer-free.

Hello, very interested in Kiacono's case as I'm a MCL survivor. Is there any way to connect with Kiacono?
