WHO IS THE RADICAL REMISSION TEACHER TRAINING FOR?
The Radical Remission Teacher Training is appropriate for anyone with a passion and desire to lead small groups through a set wellness curriculum that is both educational and emotional, via either a 2-day or 6 to 9-week workshop.
HOW OFTEN WILL THE TRAINING BE GIVEN?
We aim to offer at least one professional 5-day training per year. Please check the main Teacher Training page for this year’s training dates and locations, as well as upcoming years’ tentative dates and locations.
WHAT PREREQUISITES ARE REQUIRED FOR THE TRAINING?
In order to be eligible for the RR Teacher Training, you must have read the book Radical Remission. Before the training begins, you must also take either an in-person Radical Remission Workshop or the Radical Remission Online Course, since we want you to be familiar with the workshop you will be trained to teach.
WHAT DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS ENTAIL?
After you submit your tuition, you will be asked to schedule a 10-min call with our Director of Trainings to ensure your goals are in alignment with ours. You will also be asked to sign a Licensing Agreement, which allows you to use the Intellectual Property of the Radical Remission Workshop. Once these final two steps are complete, you will receive an official Acceptance Letter welcoming you to the training. You may feel free to book your travel at this time.
CAN THE TRAINING BE TAKEN REMOTELY?
WHAT IF I NEED TO MISS A PORTION OF THE 5-DAY TRAINING?
You must be in attendance for the whole training (Monday morning at 9am through Friday at 12:30pm). Please make your travel arrangements accordingly. Late arrivals and early departures will not be permitted.
ONCE I AM CERTIFIED, ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON THE FEES I MAY CHARGE FOR MY WORKSHOPS?
This is explained in the Licensing Agreement, but we suggest that you charge your participants between $95 and $250 per workshop that you offer, set at your discretion. The maximum fee you may charge each participant is $500 per workshop. This maximum fee is subject to change (e.g., for inflation, etc.).
ONCE I AM CERTIFIED, HOW WILL MY WORKSHOPS BE SCHEDULED?
Certified Instructors are responsible for planning and scheduling all workshops that they choose to offer. This includes establishing a location, time, and date for each one, as well as any marketing, publicity, and registration.
WHAT IS THE COST OF THE RR TEACHER TRAINING?
Tuition for the 2019 U.S. Radical Remission Teacher Trainings are USD $1995, with a 10% early-bird tuition discount if you register before a certain date. This cost does not include travel or accommodations, which you book on your own. Beginning one year after you successfully complete the Teacher Training, there is an annual licensing fee which allows you to continue to use and profit from the Intellectual Property of the workshop curriculum, as described in the Licensing Agreement.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, you must let us know via email and also receive a confirmation from us that we received your email. If you cancel 30+ days prior to the start of your training, you will be issued a full tuition refund, less USD$500. If you cancel 15-29 days prior, you will be issued a 50% tuition refund. If you cancel within 14 days of the start of the training, no refunds will be offered, but for an additional $350 administration fee, you may transfer your tuition to a future teacher training of your choosing, as long as it commences within two years of your cancellation date.
ARE THERE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR THE TEACHER TRAINING?
The RR Teacher Training provides a professional certification which allows Certified Instructors to profit from the Radical Remission Workshops they conduct for the rest of their lives. Therefore, no scholarships are available for the Teacher Training. If you are not able to attend an upcoming training due to financial constraints, we encourage you to save up for a later training.
WILL THE RADICAL REMISSION PROJECT HELP ME WITH MY TRAVEL EXPENSES TO AND WHILE AT THE TRAINING?
No, attendees are responsible for booking their own travel and accommodations.
WILL THE RADICAL REMISSION PROJECT HELP ME MARKET MY TRAININGS?
The Radical Remission Project maintains a list of certified trainers, including their bios, contact email, and any upcoming workshops, on its website. In addition, anyone who contacts us looking for an Intructor in a particular region or city is directed to that list. Any additional marketing must be done solely by each Certified Instructor.
AM I COVERED UNDER LIABILITY INSURANCE FROM THE RADICAL REMISSION PROJECT WHEN I CONDUCT MY WORKSHOPS?
No, the Radical Remission Project assumes no liability and strongly recommends that all trainers obtain liability insurance whenever they are offering a workshop. We do require that your workshop participants sign a Waiver of Liability, which we will provide for you to use.
WHERE CAN I OBTAIN A COPY OF THE TEACHER TRAINING LICENSING AGREEMENT?
A copy of the licensing agreement may be viewed here. This document explains the details of your annual, renewable license of the Intellectual Property of the Radical Remission Project. This Agreement must be signed as part of your application to the training.
WHAT IS THE RADICAL REMISSION CERTIFIED HEALTH COACH PROGRAM?
A Radical Remission Health Coach is someone who is certified to do one-on-one coaching of the 9 Radical Remission healing factors, which is different than leading a small or large group through a limited-time workshop. In order to be certified as a Radical Remission Health Coach, you must:
1) Successfully complete a Radical Remission Teacher Training
2) Prove that you have an advanced degree in psychology, psychiatry, counseling, or social work; or prove that you have graduated from a coaching program that is accredited by either the ICHWC or the ICF. Acceptable proof includes diplomas, transcripts, etc.
